Protect your cherished photos from accidental or intentional deletion with Peek-a-View. This read-only photo gallery ensures that your photos remain safe and secure. Unlike other apps, Peek-a-View does not write any data back to your photo library, guaranteeing the preservation of your memories.
Pairing Peek-a-View with the Guided Access feature on iOS and iPadOS allows you to lock your device into the app, restricting its functionality to viewing photos only. This ensures that your device can be safely handed over without any concerns.
By default, Peek-a-View displays your most recent photos in the gallery, but it can also be configured to show a specific album. Additionally, when Guided Access is enabled, access to Peek-a-View's settings is automatically restricted.
Peek-a-View provides free access to your 20 most recent photos, and you have the option to remove this limitation with a one-time in-app purchase.
With full support for Dark Mode, Dynamic Type, Live Photos, videos, and animated GIFs, Peek-a-View offers a versatile experience. Furthermore, after making a purchase, you can choose from several alternative icons to personalize the app.
Developed out of personal necessity during a trip to an amusement park with our independent toddler, Peek-a-View was created to give us peace of mind when handing our phones to our precocious two-year-old. Thanks to Peek-a-View, we no longer worry about accidental deletions or the need to navigate complex Guided Access settings in the Photos app.
